Uniball Jetstream Lite Touch

It would seem that our friends at Uni are at it again!

For those who are unaware, Uniball have released a new addition to their iconic Jetstream line. This pen is referred to as the Jetstream Lite Touch.

As of time of writing, this pen is not available in the United States, though it would be assumed that the pen may make its way to North America in late 2024 or early 2025.

Most will know the Jetstream line as a set of pens that have beautiful ink flow, a twin ball mechanism, and Uni’s Proprietary “Super Ink”, which is low-viscosity, quick drying, and archival. The Jetstream line is beloved by many, and has a cult following in pen spaces.

Now, while I must admit that I am not a fan of the traditional oil-based ballpoint pens of old, even I find the Jetstream to be a pen that has traditionally punched above it’s weight. It’s affordable and a popular choice for students who require water-resistance for their notes, and redefined what a ballpoint pen could be.

The pens are monochromatic, with a sleek look reminiscent of the Uniball One F. Based on information gathered from Uni Japan, the Jetstream Lite Touch appears to have Super Ink formulated to be darker than traditional Jetstream ink that you might find in a common 207. The new ink also seems to be “blob resistant”, and offers an overall smoother writing experience.

A trend in newer pens, it also has a built in mechanism that reduces vibration and sound when writing.

The ink varieties come in Black, Red, Blue, and Green. It is not known at this time whether or not more colors will be available.

These pens also come in a multi-function form factor. The Jetstream Lite Touch 4&1 appear to come with all 4 ink variations, as well as a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil.

Swatches of the pens can be found at PenAddict, though our resident Stationary Guy will be doing his own swatches for comparison when he orders these pens from overseas.

If you would like to import these pens prior to their release in North America, see the following links. Please note: These are not affiliate links, and I do not make commission if you choose to purchase from them.
